योग का बढ़ा ही साधारण अर्थ हैं - 'जुड़ाव'। पतंजलि सुत्र में भी -" युजत्य अनेन इति योग :।। " अर्थात.. योग जुड़ने की प्रक्रिया है। यदि हम इस संसार व सृष्टि का ध्यानपूर्वक अवलोकन करें तो सूक्ष्म से लेकर वृहद तक सब 'योगमय' हैं। योग की अनुपस्थिति में न तो यहाँ संसार व सृष्टि संभव है और न ही इनका क्रियाकल्प। सृष्टि का मूल आधार 'शिव और शक्ति' व 'पुरुष और प्रकृति' का मिलन 'योग' है। यदि संसार को देखें तो संसार में प्रतेक जीव की एक दूसरे पर निर्भरता 'योग' है। उदाहरण - वृक्ष से प्राप्त ऑक्सीजन मनुष्य जीवन का आधार है तो वही मनुष्य द्वारा निकासित कार्बन वृक्षों का आधार 'योग' ही है। मनुष्य, पशु, पक्षी,नदी, पहाड़ का एक दूसरे से जुड़ाव 'योग' ही है। ये मनुष्य शरीर भी स्वयं 'पंचभूतों' और 'इन्द्रियों' के योग का परिणाम है। इस सृष्टि की संचालन प्रक्रिया में मौजूद 'सत' , 'रज' , 'तम' गुणों का समनव्यय 'योग' ही है। इन्हें ही आज की आधुनिक वैज्ञानिक भाषा में 'इलेक्ट्रान' , ...

सनातन धर्म से जन्मी भारतीय संस्कृति में त्यौहार और उत्सवों का अपना विशेष ही महत्व हैं.. हमारी संस्कृति को यदि त्यौहारों व उत्सवों की संस्कृति भी कहीं जाये तो गलत नहीं होगा। भारतीय संस्कृति में मनाया जाने वाला प्रतेक पर्व और त्यौहार धार्मिक, आध्यात्मिक और वैज्ञानिक दृष्टि से भी विशेष महत्व रखता हैं, इन्हीं त्यौहारों में फाल्गुन माह की पूर्णिमा पर होली का उत्सव मनाया जाता हैं।  होली को रंगों का त्यौहार है, जैसे ईश्वर ने इस संसार में प्रकृति में विभिन्न रंगों की छटा विखेरी है उसी प्रकार होली का उत्सव हमें संदेश देता हैं की जीवन है तो संघर्ष हैं.. उतार -चढ़ाव भी हैं, सुख भी है दुख भी है परंतु हमें जीवन को साक्षी बना कर चलना होगा, जीवन के सभी पहलुओं को रंगों के रूप में ग्रहण करते हुए खुशहाली पूर्वक जीने की सीख हमें ये रंगों का त्यौहार ही देता हैं।   पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार होली का पर्व बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत को दर्शाता हैं, विष्णु पुराण के अनुसार होली का उत्सव मनाये जाने के पीछे राजा हिरण्यकश्यप और उसका विष्णु भक्त प्रहलाद और राजा हिरण्य की बहन होलिका की कहानी प्रचलित है...
